You’ll need an AFFF foam extinguisher if you use flammable liquids and normal combustibles.
They fight fires by forming a non-toxic foam layer. This foam layer both cools the fire and prevents oxygen from reaching it.
The foam is non-toxic and won’t impair visibility. Best of all, the foam layer will heal itself if it becomes cracked or scarred.
Suitable for class A and B fires
Class A: Ordinary combustibles – wood, paper, cloth, rubber and plastics
Class B: Flammable liquids – oil, petrol, greases, oil-based paints
Foam fire extinguisher training
Careful, though, the foam has a water component, so it’s not safe to use on your electrical appliances. We can provide your staff with training, so they know how and when to safely use your foam fire extinguishers.
